The Icebreaker

2025 Event Details

We are excited to present the first annual Icebreaker Event at the Academy 9! Knock off the rust on Friday, May 8 with a 2:00 PM Shotgun start on Braemar’s nine-hole par 3 course. This is a low-cost individual event and fun way to get back into the swing of things, with closest to the pin and longest putt prizes on every hole, and overall prizes for 1st and 2nd place scores (gross and net scores). It’s looking like a shootout.

2 Man Teams

6 holes Best Ball, 6 Holes Alternate Shot, 6 Holes Scramble

Team Handicap for each group of 6 holes

Specific Rules for each group of 6 to be provided

Entry Fee:

• $77 for riders
• $57 for walkers
• $5 Small range bucket optional
• Skill Contests
• Prizes following golf in bar/patio for those who choose to stay around. No need to be present to claim rewards. We will deliver.

This is meant to be a mainly social event, but we will still add some competition. $5 has been added to the entry fee to cover prizes. We will have 2 flights, based on team handicap (teammates can play from different tee boxes), which hopefully will accommodate most everyone.

For now, Ridges has blocked off the tee times to accommodate 40 players. If we have more interest, they are willing to give us more times.
